It is with great sorrow that the family informs loved ones and friends that John David Howell, 52, passed away on Monday, December 13th in North Carolina while doing what he loved as an over-the-road truck driver. He was born on May 10, 1969 in Willard, Ohio and a life-long resident of Plymouth, Ohio.

David was a friend to everyone, and he always had a sense of humor that could get a chuckle out of the room. He was a graduate of Plymouth High School. He spent the majority of his working life devoted to his passion to drive as an over-the-road truck driver across the country. David was an avid sports fan and loved to be outside hunting.

David was predeceased by his brother Tracy Howell, grandparents John and Bessie Elliott, and grandparents Maxine and Birbage Howell Sr. David is survived by his father Birbage (Christine) Howell, mother Glenna Elliott, sister Karen (Howell) Dickinson, special friend Pamela Lugo, two sons: Dakota Howell and Tyler Hohler, three daughters: Crystal (Richard) Carbone, Charlene Martucci, Chelsea (Michael) Cox, grandchildren: Avalynn, Keegan, Nino, and Luca, and numerous nieces and nephews.

I’m so sorry for your loss. I have only happy memories of David from childhood. He was one of the funniest kids in school. He could always light up a room and make others smile. He was a total blast at the Plymouth pool! He was more like a cousin than a friend. Sending love and prayers to your family during this difficult time. David made the world a better place for everyone he met.
