Joan M. Leach, age 72, resident of rural North Auburn, Ohio passed away on Friday, February 10, 2012 at the James Cancer Center in Columbus, Ohio. She was born on April 20, 1939 in Norwalk, Ohio to the late Ralph Sr. and Dorothy (Meyer) Kraft and had been a North Auburn resident the majority of her life. She was a member of the the St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in New Washington and enjoyed yardwork, flower gardening, cooking, camping with her grandchildren, taking care of others and finding tasks for her husband.
She is survived by her husband, Gayle M. Leach, whom she married on August 8, 1959; four children, Annette Leach (Lee) Jamison of Mishawaka, IN; Thomas (Angela) Leach of Plain City, OH; Dale (Candace) Leach of Tiro, OH; and Mark (Crystal) Leach of Toledo, OH; six grandchildren, Joshua, Kassandra, Jacob, Patrick, Jenna and Mackenzie; a sister, Marie Meagrow of Norwalk; and a sister-in-law, Mary Kraft of Texas.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three brothers, Ralph Jr., Robert and Bernard Kraft; two sisters-in-laws, Marie and Mildred Kraft; and a brother-in-law, Richard Meagrow.
Friends may call at the Secor Funeral Home in New Washington, Ohio on Tuesday, February 14, 2012 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the St. Bernard’s Catholic Church with Father Eric Culler officiating. Burial will follow in Mother of Sorrows Catholic Cemetery in North Auburn, Ohio. Memorial contributions can be made to the Habitat for Humanity. Gayle,annette,tom,dale and mark, Joan was a cousin, but one of the best friends I ever had. She is with God now and all her brothers and her parents. Will never forget her.
You and your family have our deepest symonthy. Joan was always a happy person and very pleasant to be around. She will certainly be misssed. We are praying for you and your family.

Gayle & family. Was so sorry to hear of Joan’s passing still relive our times at North Auburn. Connie was especially glad for the short visit in Mansfield with the both of you.

When I heard of Joans passing this morning I spent the first half hour in tears. Once my shock wore off I turned to thinkng of all of you and that lead to all the great times our families shared through the years. Know that our hearts and prayers are with you at this time. We will see you on Wednesday.
Joan, you will be missed by everyone that knew you. Your family was a constant in my life with your visits to the house on Halfway Road. Our hearts go out to Gayle, Annette, Tom, Dale and Mark and their families at this time of loss. Joan, you are now in a better place. Say hello to Handy, Bob, Bernie and your favorite Uncle for us.
