Jesse James, age 47, of Shiloh, Ohio passed away unexpectedly Thursday, September 12, 2013 in Mansfield, Ohio. He was born March 4, 1966 in Shelby, Ohio to Roger and Carol (Barnett) James and was a 1985 graduate of Plymouth High School. Jesse was employeed with AK Steel in Mansfield for 22 years.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Elizabeth James; two sons, Jesse Lee James of Shelby, Ohio and Luke James of Shiloh, Ohio; one daughter, Katilyn Desha of Attica, Ohio; a grandson Alexander Vargos; 3 step-children, Brandon Cole; Chad Cole who is the father of Madelyn Cole; and Amy Laser who is the mother of Landon and Alyssa Laser; a brother, Scott James of Alabama; and four sisters, Jan Baumann of Willard, Ohio; Lena Sizemore of Plymouth, Ohio; Michelle Pfeifer of Crestline, Ohio; and Kim Combs of Plymouth, Ohio.
He is preceded in death by an infant daughter, Amber James.
Friends may call at the Secor Funeral Home in Plymouth, Ohio on Monday, September 16, 2013 from 12:00 to 2:00 PM and 4:00 to 6:00 PM. The funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 1:00 PM at the Messiah’s House of Prayer Church in Shiloh, Ohio with Pastor Bill Howell officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Shiloh. I am so saddened by my cousins death. I don’t know how to say I am sorry, but I am. It is very difficult to lose a brother for I have been there. As a parent I would never ever want to go through the pain. Hold each other tight and you can make it one day at a time.

I carry in my heart…so many childhood memories of Jesse with his wonderful sense of humor. Jesse was a hard working family man who loved his kids.
