Janice K. Hartman, age 76, of Willard, Ohio passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 in New London, Ohio. She was born on December 18, 1941 in New Haven, Ohio to the late Walter and Roxie (Crager) Lykins. Janice worked for the City of Willard for many years. She lived her life with a competitive nature playing tennis and volleyball. She also enjoyed gardening, her flowers, and most of all, mowing her yard.
She is survived by her daughter, Jill R. Chaffins (Jennifer Swicker) of New London, Ohio; granddaughter, Jennifer N. Chaffins of New London, Ohio; one sister, Phyllis Sands of Willard, Ohio; one brother, Jerry Lykins (Margaret "Skeeter" Dauch) of Collins, Ohio; and uncles, nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Eldon Lykins.
Visitation will be at Secor Funeral Home in Willard, Ohio on Saturday, March 3, 2018 from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM where a service will be at 12:00 PM with Pastor Bart McKelvey officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in New Haven, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to Stein Hospice in Sandusky, Ohio or Meals on Wheels. Better late than never, I hope. I am so sorry, but I don't recall hearing or seeing anything about her passing. Time goes so quickly. Our lives have just become too complicated, and I don't get on face book. I guess, we were dealing with some other episodes in the family about that time. May God be with you all.
