Jane Sharpless, age 93, of Willard, Ohio, passed away on Monday, August 2, 2021 at Blossom Nursing and Rehabilitation in Willard. She was born on December 11, 1927 in Cleveland Township, Iowa to the late William and Jennette (Van Bammel) Petersen.
She enjoyed spending her time reading and birdwatching. The greatest love of her life were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Jane is survived by her daughter, Sharon Jane (Gerald Wayne) Polachek; granddaughter, Dawn Michelle Polachek; grandson, Shane Jeremy Polachek (friend, Heather Arangelovich); great-grandchildren, Zander Lee Polachek, Gunner Wayne Polachek, and Charlotte Grace Polachek; brother, Bernard Peterson; sister, Jeanette Lems; and sister-in-law, Ruth Sharpless.
In addition to her parents, Jane is preceded in death by her husband Harley Lee Sharpless; son, Lee Edwin Sharpless; great-grandson, Wyatt Michael Polachek; brothers, John Edward (Helen) Petersen, Henry (Berneice) Petersen; sister, Marie (Elmer) Champion and Henrietta (Roger) Miller-Grove; sister-in-law, Alberta Petersen; brother-in-law, Gerald Lems; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Edward F. and Ida (Wiers) Sharpless; in-laws, Willard C. (Alberta) Sharpless, Evelyn (Al) Wagner, Don (Norma) Sharpless and Ervin Sharpless.
Family and friends may visit at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard, Ohio on Friday, August 6, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Tom Dove officiating.
