Jane Ellen (Bevis) Niedermier, age 78, of New Washington, Ohio was called home by the Lord for comfort and peace on Saturday, October 23, 2021 after a hard-fought battle of health issues. Her passing was at Ohio Health Marion General Hospital. She was born on September 12, 1943 to the late Frank Bevis and Orletta (Luidhardt) Bevis. She graduated from Buckeye Central High School in 1961, where she met her high school sweetheart and married Richard Niedermier on July 13, 1963.
Jane was committed to being a homemaker first for her family and also took on the task of bookkeeping for Niedermier Sunoco, which her and Richard operated since 1975.
She was a loving mother of three whom loved her so much and feel blessed to have called her mom; Scott (Mary Frances) Niedermier, Sheryl (John) Kintz and Michele (Aaron) Adams, all of New Washington. Jane had five of the most fortunate individuals whom were blessed to call her grandma because they were her life; Joshua (Erin) Kintz, Miranda Kintz, Casey, Cale and Cole Adams. She is also survived by her sister, whom she held a special place in her heart, Huey Walsh; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, Jane was proceeded in death by her grandson, Carson Adams (her special angel); sister, Sue Winters and brother-in-law, Robert Winters; and nephews, Christopher Niedermier and Douglas Winters.
Over the years, Jane treasured spending time with family, which left behind so many memories for all of us to cherish. She had so many friends whom she connected with often, and one special friend, Janice Wurm, whom she spoke with daily and was a strong support for her. Jane had two friendly pets that brought her so much joy, Mocha and Ollie. She enjoyed traveling, crafting, visiting different casino’s and living life to it’s fullest. She was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church.
Family and friends may visit on Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at the Secor Funeral Home in New Washington from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at St. Bernard Catholic Church at 11:30 a.m. with Father George W. Rich, Scott, Sherrie, Shellie and families, our heartfelt sympathy in the passing of Jane. Shirley remembers when she was on the Red Cross that she asked Jane to go with her one night to Lucas and you knew where you were going. She said okay. Somehow we ended up in Crestline and I stopped at a Bakery and bought a doughnut for Paul andPaul said where did you get this. Shirley said in Crestline. And he said in Crestline, I thought you were going to Lucas. Any how we laughed about that for a long time. Needless to say, Jane never went with her again, but if I had asked her, I know that she would have. Paul has known her for many years and our hearts and prayers go out to the family. She fought a battle as long as she could. Rest in peace Jane.

Doc, Scott, Sherry, and Shelly, I am so sorry to hear this news. I loved your mom like my own and have so many wonderful memories growing up next door to all of you. Playing Mother May I between your house and ours, snow day conversations in your kitchen were just a few of the highlights. I loved that your mom would let me come in and plop down to discuss life years later when I would drive through town to look at my old house. Cherish your memories; she was a jewel.
