DAVID DOWNTON - Nov 16, 2022
Jim was whit, wisdom, and treated what others may have just seen as a job, as a craft. His expertise, and particularly his ability to function as an instructor, made him a craftsman. When he briefly went to a Road Foreman's position, unlike some others, he never forgot what the "seat on the right side" was all about. As long as I am still around, I will always remember "Maytag" with a warm thought and a smile!

So sorry to hear of Jims passing. I have some very good memories growing up around him. He always had something funny to say and made everyone laugh. He taught me about woodworking which I still do to this day. I remember him letting me drive a train in the yard once when I was probably about 8 years old. I'm sure he will be missed. Again, my condolences to everyone.
