To the family of my dear friend Iona briggs.
When the Briggs family had their western auto store in early 1960, my family of 5 children, myself and my husband ,were looking forward to a bleak christmas.. we had nothing . she made it a glorius holiday.. she permitted me to shop and purchase gifts for my husband and children from their store, and told me to just pay as i could ,when my husband returned to work after an accident…. we remained friends.. A sweeter more thoughtfull lady I have yet to meet ..Thank you again Mrs. Leroy Briggs for your thought fullness and compassion for a family in need. you will be missed , Willis ,Gladys Hicks ,and family..Willard ,Oh.

Our sympathy goes out to the family of Iona. We are first cousins of Leroy and remember the happy times spent with both Iona and Leroy at family gatherings. Many years have past, but we still hold those dear memories close in our hearts. Both Leroy and Iona were held in high regard in the community in which they lived and served. They made their mark there that will live on. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you in your time of loss. Sending love to each and every one of the family. Although we have drifted apart, we do not forget! May God’s arms enfold you and comfort you.
