Harry D. Bowmar, Jr., age 61, resident of Willard, passed away on Friday, February 3, 2006 at the Willard Mercy Hospital after a sudden illness. He was born on September 30, 1944 in Willard, Ohio to the late Harry Daniel Bowmar, Sr. and Marybelle (Capelle) George and had been a resident of Willard all of his life. He was an employee of MidWest Industries in Willard for 35 years. He was a member of the Steuben Congregation UCC. He was involved in the amateur radio, collected Lionel model trains, and was a member of the Golden Rule Lodge #562.
He is survived by his wife, Eileen Bowmar, whom he wed on December 5, 1964; two sons, Eric Bowmar and fiance, Katherine Pennell, both of Willard and Charles Bowmar of Willard; a daughter and son-in-law, Heidi and Jerry Tanner of Willard; two grandsons, Cody and Jacob Tanner both of Willard; sister and brother-in-law, Carol and David George of Willard; and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
Friends may call at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard on Monday, February 6, 2006 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM, where a masonic service will be held at 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, February 7, 2006 at 12:30 PM with Pastor Patti Welch officiating. Burial will follow at the Maple Grove Cemetery in New Haven, Ohio.
