Greta Y. Scheid, age 96, of Monroeville, Ohio passed away on Sunday, October 20, 2024 at the Willows in Willard. She was born on October 19, 1928 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Wilbur and Helen (Ingold) Heyman. She was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Monroeville. Greta loved cats, gardening, puzzles and crafts.

She is survived by her 3 children, Karen Hainline of Norwalk, Lowell John Scheid of Curtice, Ohio and Kirk Scheid of Monroeville; 8 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; daughter-in-law.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lowell Scheid; son, Fred Scheid; sister, Helen Doty; son-in-law, Arnold Gene Hainline and daughter-in-law Cindy Scheid.

All services for Greta will be private. Burial will be at St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery in Monroeville, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Humane society. Online condolences can be made to www.secorfuneralhomes.com

Dear Karen, John, Kirk, Deepest sympathies. Have nice memories of Greta and my mom together, always sharing a good laugh! I'd expect they are hanging out together again sharing jokes and having fun. She was a great soul!

I’m so sorry for your loss. I have so many fond memories of visiting Aunt Greta in the summer. I loved her house and all her cats. I look back on that time with lots of joy and am thankful we got to see her when we did. Take care.
