It had been a few years since I had seen Great uncle Gordon, he was always kind and nice. He usually had a little joke or teasing thing to say about my mom, a way to make someone smile. Uncle Gordon was a very kind and sweet man. Love, michelle

My deepest sympathies to the Gordon Figley family. Gordon was a kind and gentle uncle with a great sense of humor. He was like a warm teddy bear. Rest in peace.

Uncle Gordon was one of a kind. He was funny, caring, giving of himself and had the gift of gab unequal to none. He told great stories and had the ability to draw you in. Plus he played a mean Boogie woogie on the piano. I treasure the time he and Ramona spent in Florida. My family got to know them better. I'm always grateful for the time Uncle Gordon and Ramona took to come see us everytime we came to Ohio to visit. His love for family exceeded his love of gab. He was just a nice guy and it showed in all that he did. Uncle Gordon will be greatly missed.

Could not have asked for a better father-in-law. He was a life-long learner and was always working on some kind of a project either house related or auto related. Designed and built his own underground house back in the early 1980's. He considered himself a jack of all trades and a master of none, but his work seemed pretty masterful to me. Was still remodeling his home last year at 86 years old. He loved his family and worked on every family member's home at one time or another. Would give you the shirt off of his back. He set a great example for others to follow. Rest in Peace!
