Gerald “Gary” Ruffing, age 58, of Willard, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, February 27, 2024 at St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo, Ohio. Gary was born on October 11, 1965 in Bellevue, Ohio to the late Sylvester A. and Dolores E. (Koch) Ruffing. Gary was an avid sports fan, especially the Bellevue Redman, Cincinnati Bengals and Cincinnati Reds, enjoyed a good meal, and adored spending time with his daughter.
Gary is survived by his precious daughter, McKenzie Rocker of Bellevue, Ohio; siblings, Margie (Mike) Tonelli of Monroeville, Ohio; Thomas Ruffing of Virginia; Marcia (Eugene) Beamer of Willard, Ohio; Pamela (Don) Fritz of Bellevue, Ohio and Mike (Annette) Ruffing of Attica, Ohio; special niece, Christine Feltner of Willard, Ohio; and many nieces and nephews who were important to Gary.
He is preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
There will be a private family burial at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Clyde, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Gary’s family through Secor Funeral Home, 202 W. Gary was a cruising friend friend of mine back in the day. . We always had a great time cruising in Norwalk along the strip. I'd still see him from time to time at the grocery store and we'd talk a few. I'd say hey brother how ya doin and he'd reply using my nic name hey Red good to see ya. I'm so sorry for the loss
