George R. Keyser, of Shelby, Ohio passed away Saturday, March 23, 2024 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on January 31, 1947 in Mansfield, Ohio to the late George H. and Barbara (Cosgrove) Keyser.
George was a well-respected attorney in Mansfield, OH for 50 years, as well as a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Willard, OH where he and his wife Sharon taught Sunday children’s church for 20 years. He was a member of the Shelby Country Club where he was challenged by many rounds of golf with family and friends. George was a life-long learner who enjoyed reading, spending time with loved ones, walking his dogs, and lively discussions of current events.
George leaves behind his loving wife, Sharon (Hamons) Keyser whom he married on February 26, 1996; stepson, Corey Vesterman; Corey's daughters, Alexis (Matthew) Beal and Chloe Vesterman; siblings, Phil (Debbie) Keyser of Aurora, OH, Steve (Phyllis) Keyser of Sarasota, FL and Judy (Taylor) Merrill of Atlanta, GA; sister-in-law, Claudia (George) Lesho of San Antonio, TX; brother-in-law Shannon (Joy) Hamons of Grove City, OH; and sister-in-law Michelle (Paul) DeVore of Westerville, OH; numerous nieces and nephews, family members and four beloved dogs.
Calling hours will be Saturday, March 30, 2024, from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. with George's funeral service to begin at 2:00 pm at the Church of the Nazarene, Willard, OH, Pastor James Pomerich officiating. The burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, in New Haven. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Church of the Nazarene in Willard, Ohio 4414 W.
