Our beloved father, husband, uncle, grandfather, brother and friend, George McKinney, 71, of Saint Petersburg, Florida, died Tuesday, October 7, 2014.
George McKinney was born August 1st 1943, in Willard, Ohio to the late Christopher Columbus and Ida Mae (Johnson) McKinney.
He leaves behind his devoted wife of thirty years, Martha McKinney; three children, his beloved son George Lamar (Kathleen) McKinney; two stepchildren whom he raised and loved as his own, Greg McKinney and Amanda (Thomas) Neth; two stepdaughters from a previous marriage, Crystalyn Jones and Cyneetha Anderson; nine grandchildren, Jamar, Janee, Charde, Mahcario, Monjhara, Xavier, Jaylin McKinney, and Tyler and Alyssa Neth; four great grandchildren; Anaya, Jared, Kasia Printers and Jamir McKinney; five sisters Nina (Edgar) Jarrett, Ashland, Ohio, Dorothy Criddell, Geraldine McKinney, Janice (Willie) Love of Dayton, Ohio, and Margaret McKinney (James Thrower) of Winnetka, California; two brothers Christopher (Loretha) McKinney of Willard, Ohio and Albert McKinney (deceased) Ashland, Ohio. Three half-sisters, Saundra Wilson, Lena Harrold, Belinda Hicks of Saginaw Michigan; one half-brother Chesterford Harrold. Special nieces, Drusilla Dickerson, Dorinda Criddell, Deirdre Criddell, Deandre Criddell, Anita Criddell, Annette Criddell, Shelley McKinney, Jamia McKinney and Gennetta Gibson. Special nephews, Brandon Criddell, Davon Criddell, David Criddell Sr., David Criddell Jr., Brenten Dickerson, Bryson Criddell, Aaron Love, Christopher K. McKinney, Michael J. McKinney and Michael T. McKinney; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends including special Saint Petersburg, Florida family friends Herbert and Ursula Caldwell and family and Ms.Yolanda Hudson.

We were so saddened to hear of George passing. Please know although we can not be with you in Williard, our thoughts and prayers are with you. Knowing that we must humbly submit to the will of our God, we have peace in knowing that we will see him again. We will continue to keep you all in our prayers that God will comfort and keep you and give you peace.
