Franklin R. Fisher, 88, lifelong resident of New Washington, Ohio passed away on Sunday, September 19, 2021 at OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital surrounded by his family. He was born on April 4, 1933 to the late Sylvester and Loretta (Hines) Fisher.
Frank was a graduate of New Washington High School who went on to serve his country in the United States Army. He worked at and retired from Timken after 39 ½ years of employment and was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church in New Washington where he used to be active in the K of C.
An outdoorsman, Frank loved fishing, cutting wood and carpentry. He enjoyed spending time with his friends at Cranberry Hills and loved attending family functions.
Frank is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Rose M. (Wise) Fisher; 5 children, Laura (Bill) Marcum, Denise (Dean) Pflieger, Cindy (Cliff) Alt, Shelley (Tim) Ehrman and Rick (Teri) Fisher; 12 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; 3 siblings, Jeannette Spangler, Evelyn Rhodeback and Tom (Jane) Fisher; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Courtney Fisher.
Family and friends are invited to attend Frank’s Mass of Christian Burial at St. Bernard Catholic Church in New Washington on Saturday, October 2, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Bernard Catholic Cemetery in New Washington.
