FRANKLIN HOLT
Franklin Holt, of Ontario, Ohio, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Friday, October 21, 2016, at Primrose Retirement Community, at the age of 83.
Frank was born February 16, 1933 to Pearin and Bertha (Akers) Holt in Ligon, Kentucky. He was a graduate of MacDowell High School. He married the love of his life, Jessileana (Keene), on March 3, 1956.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents and wife; as well as brothers, Elmer Holt and Delmer Holt; sisters, Queenie Pearl (Holt) Thornsberry, Oma (Tackett) Hall, Clara Mae Holt; son, Randall Dean Holt, and granddaughter, Brittany Nicole Holt.
He is survived by sons, David (Kathi) Holt of Waldo, Ohio, Jeffrey (Sarah) Holt of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Gary (Karen) Holt of Hilliard, Ohio; daughter-in-law, Angela Holt of Lewis Center, Ohio; sister, Peggy (Holt) Barker of Maryland; brother, Lowell Holt of Arizona; sister-in-law Shirley (Keene) and Bob Coldwell of Bucyrus, Ohio.
He was “Poppie” to his grandchildren: Haidee Bumpus, Jennifer (Scott) Holt-Hill, Michael Holt, Brandon (Kristin) Holt, Kristen Holt, Jessie Holt, Katelyn Holt, Sarah Holt, Alexander Holt, Erin Holt, Lauren Holt; great-grandchildren Alex and Spencer Bumpus; Mollie and twins Jenna and Kathryn Hill; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Frank was a veteran of the US Air Force serving for 23 years. He proudly served overseas in Vietnam and Thailand and many bases throughout the US and Canada. Upon retirement, he and his family settled in Plymouth, Ohio. Frank was then employed by Motor Panels (formerly, Sheller Globe) for 20 years. Upon retirement from there, he and Jessie moved to Mansfield, Ohio and then Ontario, Ohio.
Frank was a devoted husband, loving father, and the best Poppie! He enjoyed gardening and sharing the produce with family and friends. Until last winter, he worked out at the MedCentral gym five times a week. Frank was an active member of the Little Rebecca Church in Plymouth, Ohio, serving as their Clerk for many years. He showed the love of God to those around him by the way he lived his life.
Friends may call at the Secor Funeral Home in Plymouth on Monday, October 24, 2016 from 4:30 P.M to 7:00 P.M. On Tuesday, October 25, 2016 friends may call at the Little Rebecca Old Regular Baptist Church, 4982 Henry Road, Plymouth, Ohio, from 2:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. where a service will follow at 6:00 P.M. The funeral service will be on Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. with Elder Buddy Carty officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Plymouth. so sorry to hear Bro Frank passing .my Husband Coley wicker and Bro Frank all ways sat together
he was a good Man .and in the Lord to . my Husband pass April 30 2013 but Coley and Bro Frank can sit tighter in Heaven amen. GOD BLESS
