Evonne L. Lydy, age 82, resident of Willard, Ohio passed away on Thursday, July 21, 2011 at her home. She was born on January 14, 1929 in Seneca County to the late Russell and Norma (Schaffer) Ritz. Evonne attended the Christian Alliance Church and loved to cook and bake. She especially loved her family and making special goodies for her grandchildren. Evonne also knew how to keep her great grandchildren happy, as they were the highlight of her life. She has passed from death unto life and is looking forward to be reunited with her husband, Wynn again.
Evonne is survived by her three sons, Gary Lydy of Willard, Ohio, Mikel Lydy of Mansfield, Ohio and Brian Lydy of Indianapolis, Indiana; 11 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; sister, Gerry Moyer of Willard, Ohio; brother, Eldon Ritz of Attica, Ohio and two sisters-in-law, Alice Buckingham of Willard, Ohio and Janice Lydy of Columbus, Ohio.
She is preceded in death by her parents and husband, Wynn.
A Graveside service will be held on Sunday, July 24, 2011 at 1:00 PM. at the Greenwood Cemetery in Willard. Online condolences can be left for the family at www.secorfuneralhomes.com

My sympathy to all the family members for a really special person, Evonne. I remember babysitting as a teenager when the boys were little. Wynn and Evonne were such great people. Many great memories of truly beautiful couple.

Gary, Mike, Brian and families, so sorry to hear of your Mom’s passing. She was a good woman and I will always remember her being dressed to a tee every day no matter where you seen her. Know that she is in a better place and with your dad now. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. I did want to come to the service but had a prior commitment. Jeri

One thing about my precious Aunt Evonne that we had in common…we love to talk!! Always had pictures of her children and grandchildren to show you..she loved them all so much..she is a very special lady and is happy with Uncle Wynn now..sympathy to all of my cousins.
