Eric Donald Dyer, age 27, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, October 27th, 2018 at Ohio Health Mansfield Hospital in Mansfield. Eric was born on December 16th, 1990 in Shelby, Ohio to Douglas E. Dyer and Cindy (Cummings) Dyer Stanik. He was a 2009 graduate of Shelby Senior High School. Eric attended Maranatha Christian Center in Shelby, Ohio. He loved being surrounded by his family, always suggesting a cookout or get together. He was a lifelong Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and his devoted sidekick "Snickers". Eric was much loved and will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.
Eric is survived by his parents Douglas (Charlene) Dyer of Shelby, Cindy (Cummings) Stanik (Jeff Yeager) of Ashland;' two brothers, Brian Cole of Mansfield and Brandon Cummings of Shelby; paternal grandparents, Donald and Treva Diane (Kennard) Dyer of Shelby and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Glenn and Irene Virginia (Heefner) Cummings, his aunt Linda Bailey, his cousin Michael Ray Bailey and his cousin Treva Louise Slone.
Visitation will be Thursday, November 1, 2018 from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard, where the funeral service will be Thursday at 1:00 P.M.with Rev. J. Art Kennard officiating. Burial will follow at the Maple Grove Cemetery in New Haven, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to the Richland County Humane Society. We use to work together at staff management. We worked side by side and give each other advice on life. Eric was funny, out spoken, and kind hearted all at once. We shared alot 9f similarities it's why we got along so well. It's been awhile since I've seen him. But it's so sad to watch a friend or loved one go. You will be missed very much Eric. My thoughts and prayers go out to your other friends and family. I'm so sorry you guys.
