What a caregiver that I admired. You have my sympathy.
Patti (Winck) Nishimoto - Jul 10, 2024
Mike and Melissa, Jim and I send our condolences. Aunt Dorothy was a special aunt to me. She made an entire wardrobe of beautiful clothes for my favorite doll. The time and love she put into each stitch - unbelievable. She did everything with care and precision to include making delicious yellow and lavender candy mints for Debbi, David and my parents' 50th wedding anniversary. I remember going to her house and getting to look at each salt and pepper shaker - each came with a story and treasured memories. I remember watching in amazement as she with great strength and caring would help transfer Uncle Bob from his favorite chair. I remember the love and happiness she had in being the mother of Mike and Melissa! It was always her dream for her and Uncle Bob to have children. Love, Patti and Jim

Our deepest sympathies to you, Mike and Melissa. Dorothy was a wonderful aunt to my sister Patti, late brother David, and me when we were growing up. Our mother, Emma Schott Winck, was Bob's sister. On our many visits to their house, we loved seeing Dorothy's collection of salt and pepper shakers, and eating the special treats that she made. Each Christmas, she would would always make a big plate of cookies - with so many different kinds! In later years, Dorothy stayed in contact with us, sharing family history, good wishes and hugs. We are sorry we couldn't be there to share hugs with you and your loved ones. We will miss her!
