Donna Hicks, age 61, of Miller Road, Willard, passed away on Sunday, August 6, 2006 at her home following a sudden illness. She was born on November 16, 1944 in Willard to the late Add and Emma Vanderpool and had been a resident of Willard all of her life. She attended the Little Rebecca Old Regular Baptist Church in Plymouth, OH. Ms. Hicks was a cashier at Carol’s Ultra Stitch in Willard and enjoyed scrap booking, gardening and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by 2 sons and a daughter-in-law, Bobby R. Hicks Jr. of Willard; and Rodney and Kathy Hicks of Willard; daughter-in-law, Tonya Hicks of New London; five grandchildren, Cody, Logan, Lucas, Julia and Alexis; 4 sisters, Avanel Hicks of New Haven; Linda & Billy Robinson of Willard; Annetta & Landis Beverly of North Fairfield; and Dianne and Carl Stevens of Willard; brother, Ron & Pat Vanderpool of North Fairfield; sister-in-law, Nancy Vanderpool of Willard; several nieces, nephews.
She is preceded in death by her son, Keith Hicks on April 24, 2002, 2 brothers, Phil and Quince Vanderpool, a sister, Gwendale Gibson; a brother-in-law, John Hicks; several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Little Rebecca Old Regular Baptist Church in Plymouth on Tuesday after 2:00 PM where a service will be held at 6:00 PM. Funeral services will be held at the church at 10:00 AM Wednesday. Burial will follow at the Maple Grove Cemetery in New Haven. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
