Donald L. Deal, age 69 resident of Attica, Ohio passed away on March 13, 2022, after a brief battle with Liver Cancer. He was born August 11, 1952, to the late Arthur J. Deal Sr. and Elizabeth “Shorty” Jaggers of Attica, Ohio.
He was born in Marseilles, Ohio then later moved here with his family. He attended Attica Local Schools, loved to go to the sprint car races, to the casinos and The Great Smoky Mountains. In 2016 he retired from R.R. Donnelley’s in Willard, Ohio where he had worked for 30 plus years.
He is survived by his wife Kathie A. Jaynes, and they married on August 21, 1969, Attica, Ohio. They were married for almost 53 years. Also surviving is his only daughter Becki A. (Kevin) Lukitsh of Norwalk, Ohio. He has 3 grandchildren Cody (Courtney) Daniel of New Washington, Ohio, Nichole (Brooke Haubeil) Mull of Shiloh, Ohio, Jacob (Courtney Stahl) Daniel of Attica, Ohio and four great-grandchildren Harper, Wrensen, Sawyer and Dawsen.
In addition to his wife, daughter, and grandchildren he has three surviving siblings Mary Louise (Deal) Slone of Monroeville, Ohio, Anna Marie (Richard) Greathouse of Wellington, Ohio, and Raymond (Nancy) Deal of Tiffin, Ohio. One aunt, Doris (Anthony) Koke originally of Green Springs, Ohio, and many nieces and nephews.
He is proceeded in death by his parents Arthur J. Deal Sr in 1962, and Elizabeth “Shorty” Jaggers in 2013, and brothers Charles Jaggers of Attica, Ohio, Arthur (Barbara) Jaggers of Tiffin, Ohio, Arthur J. (Jill) Deal Jr. of New London, Ohio, Robert A. Deal and one sister Joyce Marie Deal of Marion, Ohio. As well as one grandson Matthew J. Daniel of Attica, Ohio.
There will be no showing at the request of Don, later close friends and family will have a grave side service, and the family will have a memorial trip to the Great Smoky Mountains. He will be buried in the Attica Venice Township Cemetery.
