Dolores A. “Ducky” Tackett, age 84, resident of Willard, Ohio passed away on Saturday, June 25, 2016 at Toledo St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo. She was born on December 17, 1931 in New Washington, Ohio to the late Edward and Louise (Durnwald) Kreim. Ducky was a 1949 graduate of Chatfield High School. She had worked at the former Wilkins Air Force Depot in Shelby, the former Willard United Bank, and retired from the Willard City Tax Department. Ducky was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Willard and a member of the 55 Plus Club.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Walter “Woody” Tackett, whom she married on September 22, 1956; 3 daughters, Nancy Tackett of Phoenix, AZ, Mary (Dean) Doane of Columbus, Carol Gardner of Willard; 2 grandchildren, Amy Gardner and Glenn (Mary) Gardner; 4 great grandchildren, Braelyn Gardner, Nathanial Crabtree, Taylor Gardner, Ryder Gardner; and 1 brother, Gerald (Mary Ann) Kreim of New Washington.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 4 brothers, John, Virgil, Joe, and Richard Kreim; and 4 sisters, Arvela Karl, Arlene Bechtel, Catherine Kempf, and Esther Kreim.
Friends may call at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard, Ohio on Wednesday, June 29, 2016 from 2:00 – 4:00 P.M. and 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. A funeral mass will be at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church on Thursday, June 30, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. with Fr. Eric Culler officiating. Burial will take place at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Willard. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Francis Catholic School. Woody we were out of town and just got the news of Delores passing. I am so truly sorry and saddened. Keeping all of you in our prayers. We all know that heaven gained another special angel and Delories will be missed by so many people as she touch so many lives with her beautiful smile and the way she lived her life.
