Dian Phillips, age 83, of Willard, Ohio, passed away on Monday, June 12, 2023 at the Willows in Willard. She was born in Tiffin, Ohio, on July 12, 1939 to the late William Deibert and Janet (Aiken) Utz. Dian was a 1957 graduate of Bellevue High School. She married her husband, Gerald E. Phillips on June 15, 1957.
Dian worked at R.R. Donnelley and Sons, Pepperidge Farm, Pamida and Wired Coffee Bar. Dian was a member of Nugent’s Yacht club, Bismark Senior Center, Donnelley Club, and she was also a volunteer at the Mercy hospital gift shop. She enjoyed playing bingo, card games, reading and taking gambling trips. Dian also loved to travel and attend all of her grandchildren’s activities.
Dian is survived by her 6 children, Carrie Snook of Willard, Stephen (Janet) Phillips of Willard, Jeffrey (Evelyn) Phillips of Attica, Susan Frisch of Willard, Gerald (Susan) Phillips of Willard and Jeanne (Doug) Lillo of Willard; siblings, Margaret Phillips and Mike (Sheila) Deibert; 15 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild and one on the way, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Gerald E. Phillips; siblings, Sara Weiker, Janet Biller, Sandra Soski and Wesley Deibert; sister-in-law, Delores Heil; brother-in-law, Melvin G. Phillips; granddaughter Nicole Anne Phillips; son-in-law, Michael Snook; and her dog, Buddy.
Friends and family are welcome to gather on Thursday, June 15, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Secor Funeral Home in Willard, Ohio. Dian’s Funeral Mass will be on Friday, June 16, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Gaspar del Bufalo Church with Father Joseph officiating. Burial will follow at St. Sebastian Cemetery, in Bismark. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Southern Care Hospice, American Cancer Society, Bismark Senior Community Center or to the Donor’s Choice.
