Dennie Tuttle, age 83, of Willard, Ohio passed away Sunday, December 5, 2021 at the OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital in Mansfield, Ohio. He was born September 24, 1938 in Knott County, KY to the late Abel and Rosie (Thornsberry) Tuttle. He was a member of the Little Rebecca Old Regular Baptist Church in Plymouth, Ohio and the Willard Conservation League. He enjoyed hunting and most of all, loved spending time with his family.
He was a true light and inspiration to all those around him in his walk with God and unconditional love for his family. When not helping family and others, Dennie and his wife, Gail, always had a project or new adventure underway that kept them busy and young at heart. Whether it was the rental property business, spending months in Alaska, driving to 48 great states or simply sitting and sharing stories with friends and loved ones, Dennie loved life and was an incredible example to all those who knew him.
Left to cherish his memory and life as a husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and true friend are his loving wife, Gail (Dowd) Tuttle, whom he married September 19, 1969; 4 children, Amon "Buddy" (Christy) McCormack of New Haven, Lorna Lacey of Morehead, KY, J. Brad (Shelly) McCormack of Willard and Kim (Orin) Holliday of Clearwater, FL; 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren; 2 siblings, Willard (Charlotte) Tuttle of Greenwich and Chester (Betty) Tuttle of Willard; sister-in-law, Sarah Jane Tuttle of Wellington and numerous nieces and nephews.
Dennie is preceded in death by his parents, Abel and Rosie Tuttle; 5 siblings, Faris Tuttle, Gladys Hall, Arthur Tuttle, Talt Tuttle and Olby Tuttle and 2 great grandchildren, Clara Nichole Zenk and James Gabriel McCormack.
Visitation will be Monday, December 13, 2021 from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at the Little Rebecca Old Regular Baptist Church in Plymouth, Ohio where there will be a service at 6:00 PM. The funeral service will be Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at 11:00 AM at the Little Rebecca Old Regular Baptist Church in Plymouth with the church Elders officiating. Burial will follow at the Greenlawn Cemetery in Plymouth, Ohio.
Dennie’s family realizes each of us are currently facing extraordinary circumstances as a result of the pandemic and thanks you and appreciates however you choose to honor and celebrate Dennie’s incredible life.
