David L. Bolen, age 76, of Plymouth, Ohio passed away Sunday, December 19, 2021 unexpectedly at his home. He was born July 11, 1945 in Garrett, Indiana to the late Hubert Bolen and Goldie (Compton) Collins. He retired from Mayflower Vehicle and was a member of the UAW Local 1379. He enjoyed going to flea markets, auctions and most of all, spending time with his grandkids.
He is survived by his wife, Anna (Tackett) Bolen, whom he married July 12, 1981 along with children, Steven (Jessica) Bolen of Plymouth, Jack Bolen of New Haven and Anthony Bolen of Shelby; grandchildren, Connor Bolen, Kennedy Bolen, Jacob Bolen, Sean Bolen, Debrina Barnhart, Jennifer Hale and several more grandchildren; step-son, Darrel (Tammy) Hale of Shelby; siblings, Priscilla Hall, Dana Bolen, Carolyn Miller and Hilda Hall and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents and step-daughter, Teresa Hale and 2 brothers, Virgil Collins and Herman Collins.
Calling hours will be Wednesday, December 22, 2021 from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at the Secor Funeral Home in Plymouth, Ohio where there will be a funeral service Wednesday at 6:00 PM with Rev. Danny Hamilton officiating.. There will be a private burial at a later date at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Shiloh, Ohio. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.secorfuneralhomes.com

I only got to meet my uncle David Lee once when his dad died but I’d always heard of him and have gotten to watch Steve’s children grow up on Facebook which made me feel like I at least knew my first cousin and uncle. My heart breaks for your loss because from what I’ve seen he was a wonderful dad and papaw and will greatly be missed.
