David Charles Hines age 65 of Bucyrus, Ohio passed away April 25, 2021 at OSU hospital. He was born June 16, 1955 in Shelby, Ohio. The son of Harold and Rosemary Hines of New Washington, Ohio. He was married to Shelli Rank in 2000. He leaves behind one son Kobie (Sarah) Hines, 3 Step children, Nicholas (Laura) Skidmore, Nicole (Chad) Mccartney, and Justin Skidmore. He had 5 step grandchildren Drew, Alyssa, Bree, Ariana, and Zane.

Dave is survived by 2 siblings Karen Hines and Benny (Margie) Hines as well as many nieces and nephews. He is proceeded in death by parents Harold and Rosemary Hines, brother Roger Hines, and brother Gerald Hines, also his beloved dog of many years, Heidi.

Dave never let life keep him away from having a good time. Dave was an avid sports follower of the Michigan Wolverines, Cleveland Browns, and Cleveland Indians. You could often catch Dave at all the local karaoke nights singing his favorite oldie tunes with friends and enjoying every second of life. He was always so happy and easy to get along with. Every night Dave would sit back and listen to music and sing along practicing for his next outing at the karaoke. Dave was always out visiting friends and family every chance he could, and often times those friends and family knew he was on his way from the loud music coming from his car. Something you could always hear him saying is "its meant to be." Dave was also a long time member of the Bucyrus Moose 669.

Dave graduated from Buckeye Central High School in 1974. Senior year of high school he starting working at the Mansfield Brass & Aluminum in New Washington, Ohio. He worked there for 30 years until he retired. He was also a member of Father's Heart Healing Center in Bucyrus, Ohio where he attended every chance he could.

The family will have a private funeral service at the Secor Funeral Home in New Washington, Ohio and burial will be at the Mother of Sorrows Catholic Cemetery in North Auburn, Ohio. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.secorfuneralhomes.com.

I was heart broken to hear this news. David was an absolute joy to be around, we loved seeing him at the office. He and I, along with my coworker Tammy used to banter back and forth about Michigan and OSU. May you rest in peace David. You will be missed. GO BUCKS!! ( I know you would say No Ashley, GO BLUE!!)
