David A. Hershiser, age 73, of Willard, Ohio passed away on Sunday, November 15, 2015 at the Willows at Willard in Willard, Ohio. He was born February 2, 1942 in Willard to the late Almon and June (Hart) Hershiser and had been a lifelong Willard resident. David enjoyed being a CB Operator and enjoyed spending time with his family. He retired from CSX Railroad after working more than 30 years. David was an avid watch collector.
He is survived by his daughter, Kelly A. Butler of Oregon, Ohio; son Kim Allen Hershiser of Willard; step-son Christopher Eric Ritchie of Norwalk; 2 step-daughters, Sharon (Troy) Predieri of Florida and Karen Sue Kleman of Lima; sister, Shirley Roeder of Plymouth; brother, Larry Hershiser of Willard; 3 grandchildren, Dakota, Zachary, Noah; 5 step – grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Wanda S. (Florence) Hershiser in 2013 and three brothers, Marvin, Al, and Ronnie Hershiser.
Friends may call at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard, Ohio on Friday, November 20, 2015 from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. with a memorial service to follow at 1:00 P.M. with Rev. David Detwiler officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery in Willard, Ohio. Memorial contributions can be made to the Stein Hospice in Sandusky, Ohio. So sorry to hear of Dave’s passing…he was a good man and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Remember him and his brother Ronnie in high school, they were both a couple of cut-ups!! always making everyone laugh..
