Connie I. Donnersbach, age 60, lifelong Plymouth/ Shiloh area resident, passed away on Friday, June 14, 2024 at Avita Hospital in Ontario, Ohio. She was born on August 5, 1963 in Willard, Ohio to the late Ted and Janet (Baker) Robertson.

A Plymouth High School graduate, Connie went on to work for what is now Lake Erie Electric as their office manager for 40 years. Prior to her health declining, Connie was an active member of Belmont Community Church in Mansfield. She served as treasurer and loved volunteering her time in many church activities.

If you ask her family what comes to mind when you think about Connie, protector, cook, jokester and thrill seeker all come to mind. If she loved you, she protected you. And you also never went hungry; she mastered many cooking skills but cooking for a small group was something she did not know how to do. Her secret ingredient to any recipe was “throw a little flour around, splash a little water on your face, makes you look like you been cooking for hours.” If she wasn’t having her family over for a gathering, she could be found at Cedar Point, riding the tallest and fastest roller coaster or visiting family in Florida, giving her the ultimate excuse to visit the Disney parks.

Connie loved her people immensely and always wanted to help in any way she could, as she was the core of her family. She looked forward to planning life experiences with her daughters, sparing no expense, and also included her four legged children and grandchildren, “honey hounds” as she called them, in her plans. She also showed them how to be meticulous in the care of the yard and how to go all out decorating for the holidays. Connie will be deeply missed by all who loved and cared for her; any time an event needs organized or a meal prepared for an army, her family knows she will be there in spirit.

She is survived by her two daughters, Katherine “Katie” Donnersbach and Emily Donnersbach; sister and brother-in-law, Dawn and John Cline; brother, Daniel Robertson (Tammy Boos); nieces, Erica (Edgar) Justavino and Missy (Paul) Hall; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, John (Ruth) Donnersbach, Anthony (Theresa) Donnersbach, Laura Donnersbach (Rob) Michalovich and Christine Donnersbach; nieces and nephews, Jeff (Tiffany) Donnersbach, Jason Donnersbach, Jarrod Donnersbach, Annabelle Michalovich, Kurtis Donnersbach, Jennifer (Graham) Fach, Denise (Luke) Probst, Philip (Victoria) Donnersbach, Matthew (Ashley) Donnersbach and Vincent (Mykenna) Donnersbach; and numerous great nieces and great nephews.

In addition to her parents, Connie was proceeded in death by her husband of 39 years, James E. Donnersbach who passed away on February 16, 2021; niece, Elizabeth Donnersbach; brothers-in-law, Joseph and Carl Donnersbach; and mother-in-law and father-in-law, Joseph and Janice Donnersbach.

Family and friends may gather at the Secor Funeral Home in Plymouth on Thursday, June 20, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A private burial will take place at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Shiloh, Ohio. Online condolences can be left for the family by visiting www.secorfuneralhomes.com.
