Clinton Sparkman, age 74, resident of Shiloh, Ohio passed away April 15, 2005 in MedCentral Shelby Hospital. He was born August 28, 1930 in Wayland, Kentucky to the late Wesley and Alice (Hughes) Sparkman and had been a Shiloh area resident since 1956. Mr. Sparkman retired in 1999 from the Shiloh Corporation after 27 years of service. He is a member of the House of Prayer Church in North Fairfield and enjoyed gardening, fishing and his family.
He is survived by his wife, Ruby (Cook) Sparkman whom he married August 24, 1965; two daughters, Rose Mullins of Mansfield; Lisa McGlothlin of Oleana; four sons and a daughter-in-law, Sam Deskins of Mansfield; Johnie Deskins of Shenandoah; Dewayne and Lori Sparkman of Shelby; Roger Alan Deskins of Kentucky; 18 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; nieces, nephews and other relatives. In addidtion to his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Ernie Deskins; a daughter, Juanita Oney; three brothers and one sister.
Friends may call at the House of Prayer Church, State Route 162, North Fairfield, Ohio on Monday beginning at 1:00 PM and continuing until the funeral service on Tuesday. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday at the church with Pastor Dan Clouse officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Shiloh, Ohio. Secor Funeral Home in Plymouth is assisting the family with arrangements.
