Christina May Langley, age 71, resident of Willard, Ohio passed away on Friday, May 19, 2023 at Stein Hospice in Sandusky, Ohio. She was born on March 4, 1952 in Willard to the late Harold and Edith (Neukomm) Haynes.
A Willard High School and Pioneer Career and Technology Center graduate, Christina was a loving housewife and creator of beautiful arts, crafts and flower arrangements. She worked at numerous flower shops as well as having her own portrait photography business. She also was a manager at the Walton Inn in Willard.
In addition to the flowers, arts and crafts, Christina also enjoyed quilting and sewing. She found peace in the outdoors while watching wildlife on her ponds, fishing, swimming, sitting around a nice bonfire or playing a good game of euchre.
Christina is survived by her husband, James Langley, whom she married on May 26, 2018; two children, Carrie Hurst and Caleb (Mary) Fetter; four grandchildren, Nick Hurst, Kaitlyn Hurst, Amelia Fetter and Caroline Fetter; seven great grandchildren, Serenity, Korra, Evelyn, Aurelia, Cecelia, Jackson and Landon; and two sisters, Sharon Newbauer and Paula Winans.
In addition to her parents, Christina was preceded in death by her two brothers, Charles and Steve Haynes.
Family and friends may gather at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard on Saturday, May 27, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. where her memorial service will immediately follow at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Huron County Humane Society Online via mail at 246 Woodlawn Avenue, Norwalk, OH 44857 or online at www.huroncountyhumanesociety.com. I was so sorry to hear about Chris. She was my same-age cousin. Although we hadn’t seen each other for years, I have fond memories of when we were young and she would visit my family in Fort Wayne. She was always fun and enthusiastic and we had many good times. Peace to her family.
