Chester W. Jennings, 83, left this earth to be reunited with his twin brother on July 12, 2021, surrounded by his loving family.
Chester was born on February 7, 1938 in Lexington, Ohio to Luzern and Anna (Koons) Jennings, who both proceeded him in death. He married the love of his life, Mary Ann, on December 12, 1959, who survives in Shiloh, Ohio.
Chester was a retired foundry worker. He was passionate about The Ohio State Buckeyes and could often be heard cheering them on from his kitchen. He was passionate about fishing, John Wayne movies and sitting on the front porch with his wife and favorite pooches. He loved playing cards with his buddies at work and with his grandkids later in life. Always a jokester, Chester would tell his grandkids, 'Learn how to play those cards, then you can get better ones,' when they were dealt bad hands in the game of Euchre. He loved his family immensely and cherished spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Chester is survived by his wife, Mary Jennings of Shiloh, OH; children, Chester (Tina) Jennings of Shiloh, OH; Tammy (George) Shepherd of Shiloh, OH; Mark (Kathy) Jennings of Galion, OH; and Scott (Deanna) Jennings of Shiloh, OH, and grandchildren, Tiffany Shepherd, Amanda Dawson, Jessica Walker, Brian (Kristen) Jennings, Kara Jennings, Zac (JaNelle) Jennings, Courtney (Keith) Martin, Scott Jennings and Kayleen Jennings; and 13 great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Luzern and Anna (Koons) Jennings; and siblings Violet Wharton, Marie Chalfant, Lois Sims, Dora Zirkel, Luella Kegley, Luzern Jennings and twin brother, Lester Jennings.
Visitation will be held on July 19, 2021, 12pm - 1pm at Secor Funeral Home in Plymouth, Ohio. Pastor Doug Taylor will officiate a memorial service immediately following. Burial will be held at Mount Hope Cemetery in Shiloh.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Shiloh's Fireman's Association.
