Chalmer “Duke” Spencer, age 81, of Plymouth, Ohio, passed away on Friday, January 26, 2024, at the Good Shepherd Nursing Home in Ashland, Ohio. He was born on October 27, 1942 in War, West Virginia to the late Lee and Percie (Robinson) Spencer. Duke proudly served in the U.S. Navy and retired after many years of service from R.R. Donnelley in Willard, Ohio. He enjoyed hunting with his friends and sports cars.

He is survived by his son, Brian Spencer of Plymouth and Christine and Melissa who he thought of as daughters.

In addition to Duke’s parents, he is preceded in death by an infant sister, Anna Ruth Spencer; sisters, Bess Lewis and Linda “Katie” Lehman; brother, David Spencer and many nephews and nieces.

Duke’s visitation will be at Secor Funeral Home in Plymouth, Ohio, on Wednesday, January 31, 2024 from 11:00 AM until the time of his service at 12:00 PM with Pastor Ben Patick officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Shiloh. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
