Carmella Jean Fink, age 92, of Willard, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, July 20, 2023 at the Willows at Willard. She was born on April 12, 1931 in Plymouth, Ohio to the late Carl and Mary (Fazio) Fenner. Carmella was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Willard where she was active with the Catholic Ladies of Columbia (CLC) and the 50 Plus Club. She was also a member of the Red Hats Society.
She is survived by her daughter, Jean Ann (Ric) Buurma of Gregory, MI; sons, Gary (Charlotte) Fink of Newark, Ohio and Michael (Karen) Fink of Willard; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Cheryl Fink of Ontario, OH; brother, Leonard Fenner of Plymouth, OH; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Forrest E. "Gene" Fink; son, Thomas Fink; sisters, Carolyn (Jim) Predieri, Mary Lichtle, and Sally Carney; brother, Tony Fenner; sister-in-law, Phyllis Hill; and brother-in-law Willard "Woody" Fink.
Visitation will be at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church from 10:00 AM until the time of her Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM with Fr. Chris Mileski officiating. Burial will take place at a later date at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Willard, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Francis Xavier Catholic School. Gary, Jean Ann, and Mike - so very sorry to read this news. Your Mom was a special lady! She was like the neighborhood Mom, who kept us all headed in the right direction. She always treated me better than I deserved and I think that she pretty much treated everyone better than they deserved. That was part of what made her special. She was also as tough as nails as evidenced by her recovery from being hit by a car and living to tell about it. I remember my childhood fondly and she was a part of that as were all of you.
