Carl F. Brown, age 92, resident of rural Willard, Ohio passed away on Sunday, December 23, 2012 at the Stein Hospice in Sandusky, Ohio. He was born on July 22, 1920 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Carl and Olive (Rogers) Brown. He was a graduate of the University of Illinois with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering. Mr. Brown was a tool and die maker and later was in charge of plant construction for the U.S. Gypsum Company. He then was the machine shop manager at the Sandusky Foundry for 33 years retiring in 1989. He enjoyed the outdoors, hiking, walking his dogs and being with friends.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Velda Sue (Preston) Brown whom he married on July 23, 1964; four children, Robert Brown of Toledo, OH; David Brown of Bolivar, OH; Jeffrey Brown of Canton, OH; and Pamela Powers of Shelbyville, KY; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and a sister, Mary Carlson.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a sister.
