Billy James Collins, Jr. died Sunday evening, September 10, 2017 from a fatal myocardial infarction and was pronounced at Mercy Hospital of Willard. He was the oldest child of Billy James Collins, Sr. and Kathy (Parrigan) Kilgore. He loved to watch football and basketball on the television and in person. He especially liked to dabble in woodworking and made gifts for his family and friends. His children were the light of his life and he loved them dearly.
Billy experienced a lot of sadness in his life, especially the loss of his oldest son, Joshua Collins, in a fatal motor vehicle accident in September 2012. He leaves behind four other children to mourn his loss, Kimberly (Jeff) Keysor of Plymouth, Ashley Collins of Olena, Chyann Collins of Ashland, and Leland Collins at home. In addition to his parents, he is survived by step-mother, Phyllis Collins and step father, Timothy Kilgore; Fiancé’, Terri Cook of Ashland; grandchildren, Donavon and Cayden Keene, Christian, Tyler, and Kaylianna Keysor, Joshua Collins (JJ), and Kaylee Mitchell; a special nephew, Michael Collins; four brothers, Terry Parrigan of Plymouth,Travis Mullins of Wellington, David Brown and Jason Brown; a sister, Maria Banny-Kramp; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Preceding him in death was two brothers, Bradley Collins and Timothy Parrigan; a sister, Gennifer Collins; grandparents, Leon and Geneva Parrigan, Willie and Rachel Collins; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Family and friends may gather at the Little Rebecca Old Regular Baptist Church, Plymouth, Ohio on Thursday, September 14, 2017 from 4:00 – 6:00 PM with a church service at 6:00 PM. Calling hours will continue all day on Friday, September 15, 2017 with a church service at 6:00 PM. The funeral service will be on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Little Rebecca with the old regular Baptist ministers officiating.
