Betty L. Row, age 74, resident of Willard, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, April 14, 2013 at Stein Hospice of Sandusky, surrounded by her family. She was born on March 18, 1939 in Hueysville, Kentucky to the late Thomas and Annie (Martin) Gibson. Betty worked and retired from Pioneer Rubber for approximately 40 years. She enjoyed gardening, and loved spending time with her granddaughters and family.
Betty is survived by her husband, Claud Row, whom she married on August 31, 1953; daughter and son-in-law, Tina and Dustin Lowery of Willard; two granddaughters, Hannah Grace Lowery and Olivia Grace Lowery; two brothers, Donel (Marge) Gibson of Elyria and Thomas “J.” (Laurie) Gibson of Mobile, Alabama; four sisters, Wanda (James R.) Hale of Greenwich, Anna Montgomery of Willard, Elnora (Russell) Patton of Perrysburg, and Janit (William) Barnett of Fort Worth, Texas; one brother-in-law, Douglas Summers of Vermilion; and one sister-in-law, Shelby Gibson of Shiloh; special nephew, Merle Glen Gibson of Willard and 25 other much loved nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one brother, Merland Gibson; and one sister, Dorsey Summers; and two sisters-in-law, Gwendale Gibson and Myrtle Gibson.
Friends may call on Wednesday, April 17, 2013 from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard, where the funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 18, 2013 at 1:00 p.m, with Elders Larry Newsome, Don Gibson, and Dennis Elkins officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in New Haven. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Stein Hospice of Sandusky.
