Bessie M. Johnson, age 101, resident of Willard, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at Hillside Acres Nursing Home in Willard. She was born on January 9, 1912 in LaRue, Ohio to the late James and Florence (Lowther) Hinton and had been a resident of Willard most of her life. She liked to crochet and cook.
She is survived by one son, John Johnson of Willard; one daughter and son-in-law, Martha and Robert Moore of Willard; 6 grandchildren; 6 step grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; 1 sister, June Trout of Marion; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Johnson; son, Charles Johnson; daughter, MaryAnne Johnson; two granddaughters, Bonnie Kay Moore and Roberta Moore McKenzie; three brothers; and two sisters.
Friends may call on Monday, May 6, 2013 at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard from 11 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1 p.m., where Rev. Doug Beggs will officiate.
