Antonio Lopez Sr., age 86, of Willard, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at St. Vincent Hospital in Toledo, Ohio. He was born on March 11, 1936 in Allende, Coah., Mexico to the late Antonio and Dolores (Gonzales) Lopez. Antonio had retired from MTD in Willard after 40 plus years of service. He was a member of the Willard Moose, VFW and American Legion and he enjoyed listening to music and dancing. He loved to socialize with friends and spend time with his family.
Antonio is survived by his wife, Maria (Teran) Lopez whom he married on July 23, 1956; children, Juanita Lopez, Irma Lopez, Ariel (Deanna) Lopez, Homer Lopez, and Jesus (Melanie) Lopez; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a son, Antonio "Tony" Lopez Jr and a half-brother, Manuel Lopez.
Visitation will be at Secor Funeral Home in Willard, Ohio on Tuesday, October 11, 2022 from 11:00 AM until the time of his funeral service at 1:00 PM with Deacon Bruce Alge officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Willard. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital. We were shocked to see this obit. We knew the family well from years back. Our thoughts & prayers are with you all. He was a great man & I'll always remember that smile. Haven't been to Willard in quite a few years but Mrs. Lopez you & your family was always so good to me in my younger years when I would hang out at your house with Irma. May he R. I. Homer so sad to hear the news that you guys lost your pillar of a father. You 3 men have an excellent example of what Love looks like. He always seemed to have Maria on his hip and Loved and cared for her deeply it ALWAYS showed. She picked a good one. They were quite a team I'd say. Your father to me will always be very handsome and so very polite and nice that's how I remember him. God speed for healing for you all. It will be very hard. Sincere Sympathy like they say maybe the memories aren't just to remember the past, maybe memories are really all we have that last. He left you all so very many of those I'm sure.
