It is with great sadness that the family of, Amos Ted Theodore Hill, announces his passing after a sudden death, on Saturday April 21, 2018, at the age of 87. He was born September 20, 1930 in Willard, Ohio to the late Amos and Lenora Hill.
At the age of 5, Ted was a drum major for the Willard High School band and also led the Ohio State University band for an opening game. In addition, Teds father taught him to play Taps on the bugle where he often played at The American Legion. He graduated from Willard High School in 1949. On August 29, 1992, Ted retired from the CSX Railroad after 43 years, as a Machinist Foreman. Ted loved helping his family and could figure out how to fix or build anything earning him the name the handy man. He also enjoyed spending his time rooting for The Ohio State Buckeyes and Jacksonville Jaguars. Ted loved spending the summers swinging on his swing, working around the pond and solving his word search puzzles. Ever since Ted was little, he always looked forward to going to Cedar Point; where he continued to ride every roller coaster up until the last visit in Summer 2017.
Left to honor Ted and remember his love are Teds wife of 55 years, Betty (Bolen) Hill, his four children Sandy Herevia (Arnold), Samantha Jones (Robert), Amos Hill (Donna), and Tyson Hill (Sarah), eleven grandchildren Sabrina Avants (Michael), Sierra Schloemer (Matthew Lowry), Kobie Reynolds (Brianna), Kelbie Reynolds, Emma Walker (Joshua), Connor Herevia, Molly Hill, Gavin Hill, Levi Hill, Tyler Hill and Cullen Hill, and six great-grandchildren Cianna Schloemer, Alivianna Lowry, Adalena Lowry, Braeden Reynolds, Lillianna Avants, and Mykah Walker. He is also survived by his brother Paul Hill (Jeannie). Ted is proceeded in death by Amos and Lenora Hill (parents), Richard Dick (brother), and Beverly Hill (brother).
