Alice A. Babcock, age 91, of New Haven, Ohio passed away on Friday, December 23, 2022 at Blossom Nursing Rehabilitation in Willard, Ohio with her husband at her side. She was born on September 25, 1931 in North Fairfield, Ohio to the late Wayne and Ethel (Cole) McPherson.

Alice was a 1949 graduate of North Fairfield High School. After earning her LPN, Alice made a career of over 40 years beginning at the Norwalk hospital and later at the Willard hospital. She worked in O.B. and the geriatric ward and finished her career with Quality Care in Willard.

Alice enjoyed traveling, sewing, and cooking and she made a great elderberry pie. She was a faithful member of New Haven United Methodist Church. Alice was very active with the church and a dedicated servant of the Lord.

Alice married the love of her life, Richard E. Babcock on April 14, 1950. He survives. Also surviving are her children, David (Diane) Babcock, Kevin (Mary Ellen) Babcock; daughter-in-law, Connie (Virgil) Babcock; grandchildren, Joshua, Garrett, Elizabeth, and Anna; great-grandchildren, Makayla, Madelyn, Delaney, Samson, Missy, Jaxson and Ariana; great-great-grandchildren, Paisley and another on the way; a sister, Helen Boulis; and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by two sons; Glenn Babcock and Virgil Babcock; two sisters, Doris Knittel and Katherine Statzer.

Family and friends may visit at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard, Ohio on Tuesday, December 27, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. Alice's funeral service will begin at 2:30 p.m. with Pastor Ted Buehl officiating and burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in New Haven, Ohio. We are part of Alice's Florida Flywheelers Family. Alice was a dear Lady and we will miss her. She made Adam a quilt when he turned 13. He tells me he will keep it forever and will miss Alice's smile. Me too. Sympathy to her cherished family. Love to Richard.

I want to express my deepest condolences to the Babcock family upon Alice’s passing. I’ve know Alice practically my entire life. She is a fixture in my childhood memories and beyond. She was especially a great blessing to me when my Grandmother was in Quality Care while Alice was there. I will be forever grateful to her for helping me during that time.
