Camille Wallace, age 82, resident of Willard, Ohio passed away on Thursday, October 3, 2024 at Crestwood Care Center in Shelby, Ohio. She was born on December 12, 1941 in England to the late Charles E. and Edna (Moore) Hughes.
Camille immigrated to the U.S. in 1945 with her sister Janet and her mother and she became a U.S. citizen. She lived in Huron, Ohio a large part of her life where she attended Huron High School and later residing in Willard for the past 50 years. In Willard, she worked at MTD for 25 years.
Camille loved sewing, making most anything with material, and enjoyed making crafts. She was particularly interested in Genealogy and followed the family tree back for generations.
She was a dedicated wife and mother to four children. She was an excellent homemaker and a loving wife to her husband of 65 years, Jim.
She is survived by four sons, Johnathon Wallace of Willard, Ohio; William (Rita died in 2020) Wallace of Tiro, Ohio; Richard (Laura) Wallace of Bellefontaine, Ohio; and Stephen (Mary) Wallace of Kenton, Ohio; nine grandchildren, Randall, Matthew, Derrick, William (Krystle), Jessica (Ralph), Micheal, Brittanny, Adam and Jennifer; six great grandchildren, Faith, Walker, Emma, Aria, Ivy, and Geno; one great great grandchild; and sisters, Janet (Bill) Moyer of Florida, June (David) Washburn of Huron, and Sheila Fagerman of Arizona.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, James Wallace whom she married on February 28, 1959.
Visitation will be at Christ Episcopal Church, 120 Ohio Street, Huron, Ohio 44839 on Saturday, October 12, 2024 from 9:30 AM until the time of her service at 10:30 AM with Fr. Mike Floyd officiating. Burial will follow at Scott Union Cemetery in Huron, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Huron Garden Club, Alzheimer's research, or the Friends of the Library in Willard.
