Gladys M. Howell, age 70 resident of Willard, passed away Wednesday, January 21, 2004 in EMH Regional Medical Center in Elyria, Ohio. Born October 3, 1933 in Venice, Ohio to the late Karl and Winifred (Close) Sessler she had been a Willard resident the majority of her life. Mrs. Howell was a graduate of Margaretta High School, a homemaker and a Girl Scout Leader for many years.
She is survived by her husband, Dale Howell whom she wed February 14, 1956; one daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl and Daniel Newberry of Willard; three sons and one daughter-in-law, Marc Howell; Jon Howell; Matthew and April Howell all of New Washington; six grandchildren, Micah, Phillip and Sarah Newberry; Reb, Abby and Bailey Howell; one brother, Marty Sessler of Summerville, SC; two sisters, Jane Parker of Castalia; Carolyn Rohrbacher of Sandusky; nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by a sister, Ann Sessler.
Gladys’ wishes were to be cremated and calling hours and services will not be observed at this time. Memorial expressions can be made to the Leukemia Society, Northern Ohio Chapter, 20525 Center Ridge Rd. Cleveland, OH 44116. Secor Funeral Home in Willard assisted the family with arrangements.
