Esther M. Ross, age 92, former Plymouth resident passed away Wednesday morning, Febraury 4, 2004 at Outlook Pointe Nursing Home in Mansfield. She was born April 7, 1911 in Pickerington, Ohio to the late Ralph and Marie (Strohm) Rickett she had been a Plymouth resident most of her life. Mrs. Ross was a graduate of Willard High School and had worked with her husband at the Ross Texaco Station in Plymouth and the former McQuate Furniture Store. She was a member of the Plymouth Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, the Plymouth Garden Club and the Plymouth Chamber of Commerce.
She is survived by two sons and three daughters-in-law, Terry and June Ross of Sandusky; Ben and May Ross of Shelby; and Lois Ross of Plymouth; seven grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Ross; a son, Ted Ross and her brother, Ralph (Bud) Rickett.
Friends may call at the Secor Funeral Home in Plymouth on Saturday from 11:00 AM to noon where funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM. Reverend Diana Seaman will officiate with interment following in Greenlawn Cemetery in Plymouth. Memorial expressions can be made to the Plymouth Volunteer Fire Department.
