Rose H. Weithman, age 73, former resident of New Washington, passed away on Thursday evening, October 21, 2004 at the home of her daughter in Ft. Jennings, Ohio where she had been residing. She was born on Janurary 22, 1931 in Huron County to the late Carl and Veronica (Ringlein) Stieber and had been a resident of New Washington since 1953. Mrs. Weithman was a retired school teacher’s aid from St. Bernard’s Catholic School where she worked for over 20 years. She was a member of the St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, the Altar and Rosary Society and the K of C Auxillary.
She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Timon and Cynthia Weithman of New Washington; one daughter and son-in-law, Janet and Steve Klausing of Ft. Jennings, OH; five grandchildren, Jessica Weithman, Kendra, Kelsey, Kasidy and Erikson Klausing; one sister, Kathleen Meyer of Bellevue; and one brother, Wilfrid Stieber of Norwalk. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph C. Weithman in 1997.
Friends may call at the Secor Funeral Home in New Washington on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Monday at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church with Father Robert Dendinger and Father Frederick Schill officiating. Burial will following in St. Bernard’s Catholic Cemetery in New Washington.
