Birbage Howell, age 81, resident of Shiloh, passed away at his home on Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2006. He was born Feb. 7, 1925 in Fed, Kentucky to the late Jarvey and Lizzie (Ackers) Howell. He had lived most of his life in McDowell, Kentucky moving to Plymouth twelve years ago to live with his oldest son. He was retired coal miner employed with Inland Steel and had served in the US Navy during WWII. Mr. Howell loved Kentucky and his church family from the Messiah House of Prayer Church in Shiloh, Ohio.
He is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Pastor Birbage Jr. and Christine Howell of Plymouth; Doug and Darlea Howell of Pikeville, KY; Jimmy and Debbie Howell of Kingsville, OH; 11 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; two brothers, Roland Howell of McDowell, KY; and Kendale Howell of Dayton, OH.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by two sons, Harold Bruce and Johny Howell; two brothers, Ralph and John C. Howell; one sister, Sally Hutchison.
Calling hours will be held at the Messiah House of Prayer Church in Shiloh, Ohio on Wednesday, December 20, 2006 from 3:00 to 9:00 PM, where the funeral service will be on Thursday at 10:00 AM with Pastors Johnny Dutton and Ron Carey officiating.
