Sunday Diane Winans, age 77, of Willard, Ohio passed away at her residence Monday, December 9, 2024. She was born on October 26, 1947, in Willard, Ohio to the late Harvey and Martha (Stricker) Robinson.

She was an upholsterer at White’s in New Washington for 30+ years where she mastered her craft. Always caring and committed, she brought her love to her family in the best way she could, through her sewing machine. Outside of the usual sewed items and quilts, she also made seat covers for vehicles, Jeep tops, and seat cushion covers in her workshop. Even after she could no longer work at White’s, she continued to provide what she could from her shop at home.

If not at her home, Sunday could often be found outside enjoying nature. Camping was one of her favorite past-times, and she could be at various campsites around Ohio and Florida. She would take her children and grandchildren on hikes and bike rides through the trails, and if she was there for the holidays, Sunday would always make sure to have the campsite decorated. In her free time, she enjoyed listening to country music while huddled around the fire or watching movies (particularly Sci-Fi) on rainy days. Travelling and staying at campgrounds went together with her love for flea markets. Whether finding the next addition her many, many hummingbirds or adding to her even larger case of pencil sharpeners, Sunday would bring them home and display them with care.

Sunday was a member of the American Legion in Plymouth, and she was also an auxiliary of the Willard VFW.

Sunday is survived by her husband of 45 years, Paul Winans; children, Tuesday Winans Collins, David Winans, and Tara Winans Sanders; grandchildren, Robyn (Allen) Griffin, Whitney (Branden) Legg, Nathanel (Ariana) Rogers, Justin Collins, Meagan Winans, Corey Winans and Tyler Winans; great-grandchildren Sophie, Landen, Oscar, Thor, Amara, Neveah, Hazely, Alora, Tatianna; siblings, Martha Jo Lasch, Harvey Robinson Jr. and Nancy Gillum; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

In addition to her parents, Sunday was preceded in death by her daughter, Cheryl Allen.

There will be a Celebration of Life for Sunday on Tuesday, December 17, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Please contact her family for further details if you wish to attend.  Secor Funeral Home is honored to assist the family with arrangements.
