Herbert S. "Biz" Brown Jr., age 94, of Willard, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at the Willows at Willard. He was born June 5, 1930 in Norwalk, Ohio to Herbert Sr. and Cornelia (Reuting) Brown. Biz graduated from Norwalk High School in 1948 and was a US Navy veteran. He worked as an automotive parts manager for local dealerships. He was a member of the Grace Methodist Church in Willard and the Norwalk Eagles Lodge for 73 years. Biz was in a bowling league for 57 years and a golfing league for many years. He enjoyed going to sporting events and concerts, puzzles and watching game shows. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family.
He is survived by daughter, Karen Shellhammer of Willard; son, Ken (Linda) Brown of Willard; 5 grandchildren, Christopher (Angelica) Shellhammer of Willard, Corey Shellhammer of Willard, Kimberly (Angelo) Velotta of Mentor, Lauren Brown of Willard and Hannah Brown of Willard; 4 great grandchildren, Eliot and Olivia Shellhammer of Willard and Leo and Lorenzo Velotta of Mentor.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Beverly Joan (Noble) Brown, who passed away January 21, 2020 and who he married August 19, 1951; parents, Herbert Sr. and Cornelia (Reuting) Brown; sister, Janet Mae Brown and 2 half sisters, Ruth Thomas and Dorothy Ward.
His family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the staff at the Willows at Willard for their commitment and care that they gave to Biz.
Visitation will be Friday, December 6, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard, Ohio. Visitation will continue on Saturday, December 7, 2024 from 10:00 - 11:00 AM at Grace Methodist Church, 108 W. Maple St, Willard, Ohio with his funeral service to follow at 11:00 AM with Pastor Mike Leonard and Pastor Doug Winner officiating. Burial will follow at the Maple Grove Cemetery in New Haven, Ohio.
