Sydnee Alexis Marfia, age 18, of Willard, Ohio passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, August 18, 2024. She was born on May 25, 2006 in Bellevue, Ohio to Randal Marfia and Carrie (Prater) Howard.
Sydnee would have been a senior in high school this year at Willard City Schools, where she was a member of the Bowling team. She was an artistic and creative girl who loved doing crafts, drawing and writing. Sydnee had a love for social media, shopping and cats. She could often be found hanging out with her friends and family. Sydnee also enjoyed spending time on the beach.
She is survived by her father, Randal Marfia; mother, Carrie Howard; 2 brothers, Kiver Marfia and Zane Gasparac; sister, Kiara (Nate) Newberry; maternal grandmother, Joyce Prater; paternal grandparents, Don and Carole Gray; along with several nephews, aunt and uncles.
Sydnee was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Sidney Prater, who she was named after.
Calling hours will be on Thursday, August 22, 2024 at Secor Funeral Home in Willard, Ohio from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Additional calling hours will be on Friday, August 23, 2024 at Little Rebecca Old Regular Baptist Church from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. where a service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Sydnee’s funeral service will be on Saturday, August 24, 2024 at Little Rebecca Old Regular Baptist Church at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in New Haven. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Huron County Board of Developmental Disabilities or to Secor Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
