Shirley Mae (Buzzard) Phillips born December 25, 1934, passed away at home under Hospice care June 5, 2024.
She was born and raised in Willard and is survived by her husband of 71 years, Henry Phillips; son, Michael; daughters, Sheryl, Judith, Susan and Deborah. She was blessed with 14 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.
She was a member of Plymouth St. Joseph Church in Plymouth, Ohio where she worked in her younger years collecting sales tax stamps so the church could be built in 1962. In later years she worked at Hillside Acres Nursing Home in Willard and after retirement she and her husband spent 25 winters in Apache Jct, AZ making numerous friends. She will be missed.
Family and friends may gather at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Plymouth on Tuesday, June 11, 2024 from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The rosary will be recited, starting at 11:15 a.m. and Mass beginning at 11:30 a.m. with The Very Rev. Christopher Mileski officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in New Haven. Memorial contributions can be made to Southern Care Hospice.
