I worked with Earl on the railroad for a number of years. I was a train dispatcher in Jacksonville florida. After i retired drove back to Michigan (my old home) and got to meet in person Earl and many of the others I had worked with. We used to talk on the phone now and then. Earl was a really great guy. I shall miss him.

It is said the Heavenly Father only picks the best of his fruit and MR Reeves certainly fit the bill. This is particularly saddening to me. When I'd see him out I usually called him MR Reeves as I had, and still do have the utmost of respect for him. I'm now 63 but when I was a teen Mr Reeves took my dad and I hunting with him. He and my dad were good friends. If I remember right he, Earl worked on the railroad with my dad. Earl wasn't quite as old as my dad but he showed a fatherly quality to every younger person he met. At least that's the impression I got. There is nothing I can possibly say to make his family feel better at this time but know this, he is in a much better place and is happy with God and is also reunited with his good friend, my own dad who went before him and one fine day you can be with him again as well
